The worst performers of the session were Polynovo Ltd (ASX:), which fell 8.30% or 0.230 points to trade at 2.540 at the close. Resolute Mining Ltd (ASX:) declined 7.84% or 0.060 points to end at 0.705 and Resmed Inc DRC (ASX:) was down 4.66% or 1.310 points to 26.780.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 768 to 587 and 329 ended unchanged.
